Julie will participate in a group exhibition influenced by W.E.B DuBois' milestone showcase of black life in America during the 1900 World Exhibition in Paris.

It is getting warmer in Shanghai, and we are starting our little escape again! Brunch is each Sunday in the marvelous Sofitel Sheshan Oriental Hotel. And emotionandnature is there as well. With Julie's Paintings on display and for sale, and with regular painting workshops during the brunch time.

The Sofitel Shanghai Sheshan Oriental five star hotel opened its outdoor season with a new themed Sunday brunch, and a fine arts inspired decoration. For the artistic spirit, they have put Julie's paintings on a mini exhibition. And we did a painting workshop as well.

Art Show - emotionandnature exhibition in XinCafe of Xindanwei Co-Workingspace, 50, Yongjia Road near South Shanxi Road, Shanghai
"emotionandnature" is painting with natural materials, sometimes even without a brush, and using unique objects with a meaning. These could be real volcano lava in a fire-themed picture, real desert sand in an aborigines-inspired painting, or real cotton flowers in a fabric collage.
